The exercises are:
Kneeling Chest Stretch & Posterior Shoulder Stretch; Lunge Stretch I, Lunge Stretch II, Standing Hamstring Stretch & Inner Thigh Stretch.
The focus is:
Kneeling Chest Stretch & Posterior Shoulder Stretch: Stretching pectoralis major & anterior deltoid (horizontal adductors, which involves your chest muscles), & latissimus dorsi & posterior deltoid (horizontal abductors, which involves your posterior shoulder & upper/mid back muscles).
Lunge Stretch I & II: Co-activated hip flexor stretch.
Standing Hamstring Stretch: Co-activated hamstring (back of thigh) & gastrocnemius (calf) stretch.
Inner Thigh Stretch: Co-activated leg adductor (inner thigh) stretch.
This sequence is suitable for:
Low-risk apparently healthy intermediate-advanced Pilates Matwork instructors & students.
You will need:
A Mat & Swiss Ball.
