The exercises are:
Lunge Combo (Lunge Stretch I, Quad Stretch, Lunge Stretch II, Hamstring Stretch & Up Stretch), Progressive Up Stretch Push Ups with Pointer & Child’s Pose.
The focus is:
Lunge Combo: co-activated hip flexor, quadriceps, hamstring & inner thigh (adductor) stretches.
Progressive Up Stretch Push Ups with Pointer: Torso stabilisation, hip & shoulder disassociation, sides of back (latissimus dorsi), backs of arms (triceps), shoulders (deltoids) & inner thigh (adductor) activation.
Child’s Pose: Relaxing your arms & shoulders, & stretching your spine extensors.
This sequence is suitable for:
Low-risk apparently healthy intermediate-advanced Pilates Matwork instructors & students.
You will need:
A Mat, Swiss Ball & Chi Ball.
This sequence is one segment of the Pilates on the Ball xxii Class.
